Nam Bo-ra Shares Pre-Delivery Anxieties Ahead of Naturalistic Childbirth

Actress Nam Bo-ra has opened up about her growing nervousness as her due date approaches. On June 9, she shared an update on her Instagram story featuring a pregnancy app screen indicating that her delivery countdown has officially entered single digits, leaving her with just nine days before welcoming her baby.

Expressing her relatable fears, the actress admitted to feeling terrified about the impending labor pains. She confessed that watching childbirth videos makes her highly anxious, noting how incredibly intense the experience appears for mothers in labor.

Nam Bo-ra married a businessman of the same age in May last year and announced her pregnancy the following December. She is expecting a boy this June and has chosen a naturalistic childbirth approach, opting out of both labor induction and an epidural. During a radio appearance last month, she explained that she hopes this decision will lead to a faster delivery, as she heard epidurals can sometimes reduce physical strength and delay labor.

She also took the opportunity to clear up common misconceptions about her chosen method. Nam Bo-ra clarified that naturalistic childbirth does not mean giving birth at home. She emphasized that a medical doctor will still guide the delivery in a proper facility, but without the use of chemical interventions like induction drugs or pain-relieving epidurals.
